Biogas Treatment
Before the biogas can be used as fuel for the gas engine, it must be treated to remove the corrosive substances, H2S. MSM biogas treatment system is designed specifically to work with gas engines. The load of the biogas treatment system will synchronize to the gas engine demand. Therefore, start/stop gas engine operation will not affect the biogas treatment system.
Bio – Scrubber
H2S content in the biogas is removed and converted to solid elemental sulfur by the micro-organisms in a controlled environment, without the use of chemicals. The element sulfur can easily be flushed out of the scrubber tanks during regular maintenance.
Dehumidifier
After the wet scrubber process, the humid biogas must be dried with shell and tube heat exchange with stainless steel 316 for the contact parts to prevent corrosion.
Control System
As the gas engine may require varying biogas flow, a well-designed control system must adjust all the components in the biogas treatment system for optimal efficiency.
